Yes, anyone is eligible to play in these qualifiers, even players in other APA regions. All doubles teams that qualified for the Gold-Cup already won a trip to Las Vegas in August. The Gold-Cup will be held only if necessary. We have three slots in the 8-Ball Doubles National Championship in August. If we have more than three teams winning the trip to Las Vegas, then those teams will playoff in the Doubles Gold-Cup for a spot in the Las Vegas tournament (they all still go to Las Vegas, the Gold-Cup just determines who also gets to play in the Las Vegas tournament). If we have three or less teams winning the trip to Las Vegas, then the Gold-Cup will be unnecessary.

Eligibility: All winners from tournaments in 2009 will be invited to this event (exception: anyone who already played their tournament jackpo match immediately after winning their event in 2009 will not be invited to participate again). Invitations will be sent in the weekly envelopes.

This will be held in conjunction with the Players Tournament. Players eligible and invited to the Tournament Jackpot event may also compete in the Players Tournament.

Location: Herbert's Billiards
Doors Open: 9am for Players Tournament - Jackpot match times will be posted at a later time.
Entry: none

Each match will consist of a regular 8-Ball match against Andy Segal, with Andy playing as an 8 (must win one more game than a normal race with a 7).

The Tournament Jackpot is currently $500. Each player who wins will split the $500 jackpot. If only one player wins, they will receive the entire jackpot. If no one wins, the jackpot will carry over to next year, and an additional $500 will be added, making the jackpot $1000 for next year. Please see the Tournament Jackpot page for more information.
