This is a team 8-Ball event, open to any team currently playing in the summer session.

Enter to win a chance at a trip to Las Vegas for your entire team during the next APA National Team Championship.

SPECIAL APPEARANCE BY TOM 'DR. CUE' ROSSMAN. HE WILL BE PERFORMING A TRICK SHOT EXHIBITION AT 11:00AM.

This is similar to a Tri-Cup. This is the first of three Best of the Rest tournaments. Top teams will advance to the Best of the Rest Gold-Cup to win a trip to Las Vegas.

Any team can enter (must be playing in the current session).

Entry: $150 per team in advance -- $200 per team the morning of the tournament

This is basically a second chance at winning a trip to Las Vegas, just in case your team doesn't qualify through the regular Tri-Cup / Gold-Cup tournaments.

ANY TEAM IN THE BEST OF THE REST GOLD-CUP THAT ALSO QUALIFIES AND WINS A TRIP TO LAS VEGAS IN THE REGULAR GOLD-CUP WILL HAVE THEIR ENTRY FEE REFUNDED.

The format will be single elimination, and it will be just like a normal 8-Ball Tri-Cup.

It is recommended that teams sign up early for two reasons:
1 - The entry fee is cheaper if you sign up and pay in advance.
2 - We are limited to the number of teams we can take in this tournament.

Winner(s) receive a trip to Mohegan Sun during the filming of ESPN's World Cup of Trick Shots.
Every 6 teams in the tournament will result in one team winning the trip.
Prize includes one room at Mohegan Sun Casino.
All winners will be eligible to compete in the Tournament Jackpot next February.

Event # 2: Trick Shot Tournament
Come see some of the ESPN performers compete in an Ultimate Trick Shot Tournament.
This is a free-style tournament, where players can shoot any trick shot and challenge their opponents. Some competitors include:

The format for the Tri-Cup depends on a number of factors. We plan for a certain amount of teams to advance from the Tri-Cup to the Gold-Cup, but it is not always the same number of teams. We ran modified single elimination in the past, but there is a division rep meeting next week and one of the things we will be discussing is the format for the Tri-Cup and Gold-Cup.

The roster for the Tri-Cup is based on the roster for that session you just finished. For example, this session (spring) you have your roster. The Tri-Cup is actually played after the next session (summer) starts. The Tri-Cup roster will be the spring session roster (your current roster). Players who drop off and do not play next session can still play in the Tri-Cup. Similarly, players who are added to your roster for the summer cannot play in the Tri-Cup. The Gold-Cup is also your spring session roster.

The Gold-Cup in the past has been a modified single elimination tournament. Again, there is no guarantee that it will be like this in the future. The division rep meeting we have next week will also have this as a topic for discussion.

If you look at the menu to the left, you will see an item called 'printable documents'. Expand that and take a look at the 'local league bylaws'. This should explain everything. Yes, anyone is eligible to play in these qualifiers, even players in other APA regions.
